Nik Backstrom was first off the ice this morning at the morning skate. Josh Gorges was nowhere to be seen as he is day-to-day with an injury. Coach John Stevens pondering on mixing-up lines but why break what has always worked in the past? We'll see tonight!

Hurricanes Report: Mike Fisher ruled out for this evenings game after morning skate by Coach Dave Tippett. Fisher has been listed day to day with an "Upper Body Injury". Mattias Ritola will dress in Fisher's place.
Mike Fisher was missing from the players at the afternoon optional skate. Coach Tippett commented that Mike was still sore from the hit by Semin in Game 2. "Mike will see the specialist today and is still listed as day to day." Coach Tippett also reported that Mattias Ritola has been added to the practice squad. Previous reports indicated Adam Cracknell as the possible replacement for Fisher. Coach Tippett - "Adam and Mattias are both in the mix." "We will see how Mike feels tomorrow and make that decision right before game time."
